HIS MUSIC
Though his music has sold worldwide, there is a good chance you may have never heard of Vernon or his music. A long-time jazz pianist, composer-arranger, he is a voting member of NARAS (The Grammys) and has served on the judging panel for the Grammy cd packaging/presentation awards. For 10 years he hosted regular jazz critiques for the Georgia Music Industry Association. Vernon has also scored works for television and the internet.
"It has been the road less traveled, but a wonderful venture. I hope you will join me on my journey." |
HIS ART
For over 33 years Vernon worked as a news artist for the Atlanta
Journal and Constitution, the Southeast's largest newspaper. During
that time he produced thousands of illustrations as well as countless
informational graphics. He has also done numerous works as a freelancer
with such notable clients as Delta Airlines and The Atlanta Braves.
For over 5 years Vernon did all of the illustrations for Art &
Antique's "Traveling Collector," the most widely read
magazine of it's kind in the United States. He drew the syndicated
strip (United features) "In Their Own Words" for nearly
20 years.
Both his art and music compositions have won multiple
awards.
HIS PHOTOGRAPHY
His latest endeavor, the first in a series, focuses on nature and
our environment. Future series on varied subject matter will be
